Strategy Labs, the studio behind the Pharaoh inspired city-builder Builders of Egypt has announced a successor to that game, called Builders of Greece.
A new instalment in a series that seems heavily inspired by the fun games that Impressions released at the end of the 20th century isn’t a bad thing on face value.
Interestingly enough the announcement comes at a time when the first game in the series, Builders of Egypt, isn’t out yet. BoE is currently set for a release in Q1-2021. The Steam page for Builders of Greece states a release in Q4-2021.
This seems quite a short timeframe, especially since Strategy labs is basically a one man studio. For the new game there is some added help by Creative Forge Studios, who are also working on House Flipper City, which is due in Q4 of 2020.
I hope that this is not a sign of too much, too soon as I greatly enjoyed the Prologue (Free on Steam) to Builders of Egypt and would like to see this game succeed.
